Wir bitten euch, die Teilnahmegebühr von Fr. 10.- bis spätestens 18:00 Uhr am Speakerpult einzuzahlen, damit wir pünktlich um 18:30 Uhr mit dem Turnier beginnen können. Ab diesem Jahr ist es möglich, sowohl die Startgebühren als auch die Verpflegung mit Debitkarte (aber nicht Postkarte!) und per Twint zu bezahlen (im Notfall auch mit Kreditkarte).

MODUS

Wir werden direkt mit den 1/64-Finals starten. Die topgesetzten Spieler*innen starten erst im 1/32-Finale. Alle Spiele bis und mit den 1/32-Finals werden Best of 3 gespielt mit einem Tiebreak nach 25 Minuten und einer Zeitbegrenzung von 40 Minuten. Ab dem Sechzehntelfinale wird Best of 5 mit einer Zeitbegrenzung von 60 Minuten und einem Tiebreak nach 50 Minuten gespielt. Ab dem Halbfinale wird ohne Tiebreak gespielt. 

Auch dieses Jahr findet der Bâton Rouille statt, das Turnier um den begehrten rostigen Pokal, in dem sich all jene messen, die in den 1/64-Finals und 1/32-Finals ausgeschieden sind. Sämtliche Runden im Bâton Rouille werden Best of 3 gespielt mit einem Tiebreak nach 20 Minuten, mit Ausnahme des Finales, welches Best of 5 mit einem Tiebreak nach 50 Minuten gespielt wird (Änderungen bleiben dem OK-Team vorbehalten).

Beachtet die Tiebreak-Regelung für neue Sätze: Nach Beginn des Tiebreaks wird in jedem Fall der laufende Satz fertig gespielt. Ein weiterer Satz wird nur dann begonnen, wenn es nach dem beendeten Satz Unentschieden steht. Nach diesem Satz ist das Spiel in jedem Fall zu Ende.

REGELN

Gespielt wird nach den Regeln des KCUAs. Das heisst, es gilt die Anspielregel 2-4-6 und der Königsschuss wird natürlich zwischen den Beinen mit dem Rücken zum König geworfen (Sureshot). Ausserdem gilt die Diggy-Regel©: Eingeworfene Kubbs, die auf einem Chriesi / Stössel / Award Kubb liegen bleiben und weder den Boden berühren noch von Kubbs, die nicht Chriesis sind, daran gehindert werden, runterzufallen, werden «Diggys» (auch bekannt als Doppel-Chriesis) genannt. Diggys dürfen von dem Team, das eingeworfen hat, an einem beliebigen Ort in der eigenen Spielfeldhälfte aufgestellt werden (in der aktuellen Runde darf das Team aber nicht von weiter vorne werfen, sondern muss regulär hinter der Grundlinie stehen während des Werfens).

ESSEN/TRINKEN

Für euer leibliches Wohl wird sich unser freundliches Barpersonal mit viel Liebe kümmern. Wir haben Würste, Älplermagronen, Hot Dogs, Suppen, kühle (alkoholfreie) Getränke, Drinks, Shots, feines Bier, Wein und noch einiges mehr im Angebot. Auch vegane und vegetarische Optionen sind vorhanden.

ANFAHRT

Das Turnier findet wie gewohnt auf dem Sportplatz der Bezirksschule Leuggern statt. Parkplätze sind nur begrenzt vorhanden. Ab diesem Jahr ist der Teerplatz gleich neben dem Spielfeld für Autos gesperrt. Benutzt daher bitte den Parkplatz gleich oberhalb der Schule. Dort ist das Parkieren allerdings kostenpflichtig! Mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr reist ihr am besten mit dem Zug bis Döttingen und von dort mit dem Postauto bis nach Leuggern, Post.

ÜBERNACHTUNG

Auch Camper für die Übernachtung dürfen ab diesem Jahr nur noch auf dem Parkplatz oberhalb der Schule abgestellt werden und NICHT MEHR auf der Wiese neben den Spielfeldern. Ausserdem musste der Campingbereich neben den Spielfeldern verkleinert werden. Bereitet euch also für den Fall vor, dass auf der Campingwiese kein Platz mehr vorhanden ist. Dann (bzw. so oder so) könnt ihr auch in der Turnhalle übernachten.

Important: The tournament starts at 6.30pm. Please register yourself until 6.00pm at the referee desk (the giant king) and pay the participation fee of CHF 10.- until 6.00pm. From this year on, it will be possible to pay the registration fee as well as food and drinks by debit card (or credit card, but debit is preferred).

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

The tournament will start in the round of 128 but the top ranked players will start in the round of 64. The round of 128 and the round of 64 will be played in a Best of 3 mode with a time limit of 40 minutes including a tiebreak after 25 minutes. We are going to play the round of 32, the round of 16, and the quarterfinals Best of 5 with a time limit of 60 minutes including a tiebreak after 50 minutes. The semifinals and the final will be played in a Best of 5 with a time limit of 60 minutes and without tiebreak.

All players which lose in the round of 128 and round of 64 can fight for the rusty trophy in the Bâton Rouille for the second time! All rounds will be played in a best of 3 with a time limit of 30 minutes including a tiebreak after 20 minutes. Only the final will be played in a best of 5 with a time limit of one hour including a tiebreak after 50 minutes (subject to change by the organisation committee).

The whole tournament is played in a knockout mode. Please consider the tiebreak rules for new sets: the current set has to be finished in either case after the beginning of the tiebreak. A new set is only played, if it’s a tie after the finished set. The match ends in either case after this set.

RULES

All rules governing the tournament are according to the rules of the KCUA. This means: we‘re playing according to the starting rule 2-4-6 and the king shot is through your legs, facing the other direction, called «the Sureshot». The infamous step into the pitch isn’t allowed. We‘re playing with the Diggy rule©: At the end of the kubb tossing phase, any kubbs that are laying on an award kubb, not touching the ground and not being prevented from falling down by another kubb, that is no award kubb, and have an in-bounds footprint as if the kubbs were not elevated, become «diggys» (i.e. double award kubbs). The attacking team places Diggys (double award kubbs) upright and on the ground anywhere on its own half of the pitch, in-bounds provided. In the current round the attacking is not allowed to throw from a line in front of the baseline, they have to throw their sticks from behind the baseline as usual.

FOOD & DRINKS

Our lovely people at the bar will gladly help you with any questions concerning food & drinks. We will offer a variety of food and drinks with vegan and vegetarian options also available.

ARRIVAL

The tournament is held on the field right next to the “Bezirksschule Leuggern”. Parking spots will only be available at a limited capacity. From this year on, the tarred area next to the field is closed for cars. Please use the parking lot just above the school. However, parking there is not for free.

ACCOMODATION

Also campers for the overnight stay may be parked from this year only on the parking lot above the school and NO LONGER on the meadow next to the playing fields. Additionally, the camping area next to the playing fields had to be reduced in size. So be prepared in case there is no more space in the camping meadow. Then (or either way) you can also spend the night in the sports hall. We recommend bringing warm clothes. Even though we expect rather nice weather during the day, the night may get quite cold.

WICHTIG 2: Auch dieses Jahr müsst ihr die Resultate eurer Vorrundenspiele selbst eintragen. Beachtet dafür den Link in der Infomail. 

Über diesen personalisierten Link muss nach jeder Vorrundenpartie das gewinnende Team das Resultat eintragen. Einigt euch bei einem Unentschieden darauf, wer das Resultat einträgt. Bitte übernehmt diese Aufgabe jeweils, falls ihr gegen ausländische Teams spielt, da vielen keine kostenlose Internetverbindung zur Verfügung stehen wird. Die Turnierübersicht findet ihr stets über diesen Link.

MODUS

Die ersten vier Vorrundenspiele werden von 10:00 Uhr bis 12:35 Uhr gespielt, dann geht es für die erste Hälfte der Teams bis um 13:20 Uhr in die Mittagspause. Für die zweite Hälfte der Teams dauert die Mittagspause nach fünf Spielen von 13:15 Uhr bis 14:00 Uhr. Ab 14:00 Uhr finden die restlichen drei Vorrundenspiele statt und um 16:15 Uhr beginnt die KO-Phase. Die Vorrunde wird im Schochmodus gespielt. Ein Modus, der allen Teams viel Spielzeit und Duells gegen ähnlich starke Gegner*innen gewährleistet. Jedes Team bestreitet sieben Spiele Best of 2 (mögliche Resultate sind also 2:0, 1:0, 1:1, 0:0, 0:1 oder 0:2). Die Spiele dauern maximal 35 Minuten, nach 25 Minuten folgt ein zehnminütiges Tiebreak*. Nach Ablauf der Zeit wird nur die laufende Runde fertiggespielt und dann zählt das aktuelle Resultat.

Aufgrund der grossen Nachfrage und des begrenzten Platzes haben wir uns für eine Modusanpassung entschieden. Um zusätzliche Teams im Turnier aufnehmen zu können, erhalten fast alle Teams ein Freilos und spielen somit insgesamt sieben Vorrundenspiele. Dies gilt für alle Teams ausser den vier bestgesetzten der Setzliste, welche acht Spiele bestreiten werden und KEIN Freilos erhalten. Diese Änderung betrifft nur den Sieger der Herzen Modus und nicht den KCUA CUP.

Die 16 besten Teams qualifizieren sich für die KO-Phase, die im Achtelfinale startet. Alle Spiele werden Best of 3 gespielt. Das Tiebreak* startet nach 30 Minuten. Die beiden Halbfinals und das Finale werden mit Tiebreak nach 40 Minuten entschieden.

Platzierungsspiele werden dieses Jahr keine gespielt. Wenn ihr wollt, dürft ihr die ungenutzten Felder aber natürlich gerne für Funspiele benutzen.

Damit sollte es möglich sein, die Züge um XX:38 Uhr (Richtung Koblenz, Zurzach) und um XX:49 Uhr (Richtung Baden) zu erreichen.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

The first four matches of the preliminary round of the Sieger der Herzen will be played from 10am until 12.35pm, followed by a lunch break until 1.20pm for the first half of the teams. The lunch break for the second half will start after five matches at 1.15pm and end at 2.00pm. The other three matches will be played from 2:00pm until 4.00pm, KO stage starts at 4.15pm. The tournament starts with the Swiss system. The team ranking is updated after each round and you always play against an opponent with an equal amount of points. All teams will play 7 matches. Each match will be played to a maximum of 2 sets. The tiebreak*, also known as “Swiss model” or “accelerated play”, starts after 25 minutes and lasts another 10 minutes at most. Only finish the current round after the time ran out. The possible results after 35 minutes of play are: 1:0, 2:0, 1:1, 0:0, 0:2, 0:1.

After the preliminary round, the best 16 teams will advance to the KO stage. All KO matches will be played Best of 3. The tiebreak* starts after 30 minutes. The semifinals and the final will be played with a tiebreak* after 40 minutes.

The tournament system will be slightly changed due to the large amount of registered teams. Almost every team will have a walkover round and only play seven matches in total. This applies to all teams except the top four in the seeding, which will not receive a walkover and play 8 matches. This change to the tournament system only applies to the Sieger der Herzen and not to the KCUA CUP.

No additional classification rounds will be played this year. However, feel free to use the pitches for fun matches.

Jenes Team, welches die Siegerrunde gewinnt, ist direkt fürs Halbfinale qualifiziert und darf aus den anderen drei Halbfinalteams seine Gegner*innen aussuchen. Das Finale wird Best of 5 gespielt.

IMPORTANT: The KCUA CUP starts at 9AM!

Please pay your registration fee (30.- Swiss Francs) until 8.30am at the speaker desk. From this year on, it will be possible to pay the registration fee as well as food and drinks by debit card (or credit card, but debit is preferred).

IMPORTANT 2: you’ll have to enter the results of your matches during the preliminary round by yourselves, note the link in your infomail!

The winning team has to enter the result of the match during the preliminary round via the personalized link in your infomail. Please make an agreement about who will enter the result if the match ends in a tie. An overview of the tournament results is always available here.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

The first four matches of the preliminary round of the KCUA Cup will be played from 9am until 11:55pm, followed by a lunch break. The other three matches will be played from 12.40am, KO stage starts at 3.00pm. The tournament starts with the Swiss system. The team ranking is updated after each round and you always play against an opponent with an equal amount of points. All teams will play 7 matches. Each match will be played to a maximum of 2 sets and will end after a maximum of 35 minutes. Only finish the current round after the time ran out. The possible results after 35 minutes of play are: 1:0, 2:0, 1:1, 0:0, 0:2, 0:1.

This year’s KO stage will be played in a “Double KO” again. The top 4 ranked teams will qualify for the “Siegerrunde”. The teams on rank 5 – 20 will play in the “Hauptrunde” through which they can still qualify for the final. If you lose a match in the “Siegerrunde” you will continue the tournament in the “Hauptrunde”. All matches in the Siegerrunde and Hauptrunde will be played in a Best of 3 with a tiebreak after 35 minutes. Only the semifinals and the final will be played without tiebreak and without a time limit. The winning team of the “Siegerrunde” qualifies directly for the semifinal and has the right to choose its opponent in the semifinal. The final will be played Best of 5.

No additional classification rounds will be played this year. However, feel free to use the unused pitches for fun matches.

RULES

All rules governing the tournament are according to the rules of the KCUA. This means: we‘re playing according to the starting rule 2-4-6 and the king shot is through your legs, facing the other direction, called «the Sureshot». The infamous step into the pitch isn’t allowed. We‘re playing with the Diggy rule©: At the end of the kubb tossing phase, any kubbs that are laying on an award kubb, not touching the ground and not being prevented from falling down by another kubb, that is no award kubb, and have an in-bounds footprint as if the kubbs were not elevated, become «diggys» (i.e. double award kubbs). The attacking team places Diggys (double award kubbs) upright and on the ground anywhere on its own half of the pitch, in-bounds provided. In the current round the attacking is not allowed to throw from a line in front of the baseline, they have to throw their sticks from behind the baseline as usual.

FOOD & DRINKS

Our lovely people at the bar will gladly help you with any questions concerning food & drinks. We will offer a variety of food and drinks with vegan and vegetarian options also available.

ARRIVAL

The tournament is held on the field right next to the “Bezirksschule Leuggern”. Parking spots will only be available at a limited capacity. From this year on, the tarred area next to the field is closed for cars. Please use the parking lot just above the school. However, parking there is not for free.

ACCOMODATION

Also campers for the overnight stay may be parked from this year on only on the parking lot above the school and NO LONGER on the meadow next to the playing fields. Additionally, the camping area next to the playing fields had to be reduced in size. So be prepared in case there is no more space in the camping meadow. Then (or either way) you can also spend the night in the sports hall. We recommend bringing warm clothes. Even though we expect rather nice weather during the day, the night may get quite cold.

AFTERPARTY
This year the official afterparty will take place again in our party tent. DJ Chaque will play the finest sound until the last man‘s standing.
